This morning I woke up and had 2 coughing girls. The preschooler doesn't have school today, but the kinderrgartner announces that she is too sick to go to school today. Hmmm... It is a cough. No fever... It is not even a constant cough... Uggg... Sometimes I wish my kids would be either sick or well because I have such a hard time when they are borderline sick... but it is only kindergarten, so why risk it...
Puttering around in my pjs making breakfast, getting the 12 year old off and waking the 15 year old up, when I realize that the dentist appt that my 15 year old has on Thursday, isn't on Thursday. It is in 30 minutes. Grrr... Luckily I don't have to miraculously dress the 3 small ones only to entertain them in a waiting room. This is when having a husband that works from home on Pacific Standard time comes in handy. I quickly dress myself and wisk her off to the dentist.
The rest of the day was the normal craziness of the 3 small ones home. The cough wasn't bad enough to keep the 2 girls calm... or still... or NOT bouncing off the walls.. and arguing. and the boy... he is almost two... need I say more?
The 3 small ones were fighting over who got to help me make dinner. The sound of the chair being dragged over from the table only to have little people fight over who gets to climb up on it so that they to can stand next to the hot stove...
Bedtime... pajamas on... stories read... the boy was even rocked, although he still cried when I left his room and closed the baby jail gate... the girls were kissed... lights turned off... tea made... water drawn... and ahhhhh.... me time!
...and I still haven't figured out how to adjust the bubbles for a water softener. I swear I didn't put in THAT much bubble bath.
